A warm welcome awaits you at River House Hotel. Upon entering the hotel, is our Victorian hall way dating back to 1879, with original cornicing and arch way moulding. This then leads you through to Reception and the Restaurant.

The picture on the right is one of the rooms in the old Victorian part of the house. One has an ensuite bath room with a shower as well and the other three having ensuite shower rooms. Some of the rooms having original fire places. One of the bedrooms is situated on the ground floor which is suitable for disabled guests.

The other four bedrooms as situated to the rear of the house. All four are ensuite and with power shower, one also having a bath in the ensuite as well.

Facilities and what is available at Riverhouse, Malham

• Today riverhouse combines modern facilities with period elegance all our 8 bedrooms, are en-suite, 2 with baths and showers the other 6 have just with showers, some with power showers. All en-suites have heated towel rails. Some of our bedrooms have stunning views of the dales. All bedrooms are no-smoking. 1 on the ground floor for easy access for the less able walkers.
• On our breakfast table you can choose each morning from fruit compote, yoghurt, fresh juice’s, cereals and sliced fresh fruit, followed by the Yorkshire dales breakfast, or fish if you prefer, that is cooked to order, all made from local produce where possible. Menu down load is available from the food page.
• Dinner is available on Tuesday to Saturday in our restaurant. We have a 2 or 3 course dinner menu,. All dietary requirements catered for, just enquire and let us know when booking.
• Packed lunches are available to keep you going through the day.
• Luxury complimentary toiletries in all en-suite by “Scottish fine soaps”
• Also a good range of luxury Scottish fine soaps item and gifts are available to buy at reception, from our display cab for your stay with us or even for taking home.
• Big fluffy towels can be found in your bathroom or shower room.
• For guest returning from the hill there is a drying room to hang wet cloths and boots in.
• Laundry wash room available (for a small charge) just ask when you are booking your rooms, or on your arrival with us.
• Secure Locked bike storage for the more energetic ones is on site, should you arrive on a bike or bring one with you to use. Bike hire is available locally.
• Cosy snug area where you will find all the reading material on walks on the area of malhamdale, and in the Yorkshire dales. Board and card games can be found in this area of the house.
• The lounge bar is a delightful place to return to each evening, with a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings, lots of new world wines can be found on our wine list, see the wine list down load on the food and drinks page for more information.
• Guest are provided with their own key so they can come and go as they please.
• Wireless broadband internet connection is available in all bedrooms and lounge bar area of river house.
